Most roofers in the western suburbs charge a service fee just to send a truck — ours is $175. Members of the RAM Roof Care Club pay a reduced fee or none at all, get a scheduled maintenance visit every year, and pay a member rate on any repair work.
It's the same idea your furnace company already sells you: somebody who knows the roof looks at it on a schedule, handles the routine maintenance while problems are still small, and keeps a dated, photographed record of its condition. Plans start at $199 a year.

How the value is counted: a maintenance visit is valued at $249, the price of our standalone 25-point report; gutter and downspout cleaning at $175; and the service-charge savings assume one repair call in the year against our standard $175 service charge. Member-rate savings on repairs come on top and are not counted, because they depend on the work.
The RAM Roof Care Club is a scheduled maintenance program. Repairs and replacement are not part of the membership — they are quoted before we start and billed separately at your member rate, for the labor and materials actually used. Why Maintain a Roof at All?
Roofs in northern Illinois don't usually fail all at once. They fail at a pipe boot, a chimney flashing or a valley, after a few freeze-thaw winters work a small opening into a big one. By the time there's a stain on the ceiling, water has usually been in the decking for a while.
A yearly maintenance visit is the cheapest point to catch that: resealing a boot costs a fraction of replacing the decking under it. Ice dams, hail and wind all leave marks that are easy to see from the roof and hard to see from the driveway.

What Happens on a Maintenance Visit
- We walk the roof: shingles, ridge, valleys, and every flashing and penetration.
- Sealant touch-ups at pipe boots, vents and exposed fasteners.
- Debris cleared from valleys, behind chimneys and off low-slope sections.
- Gutters and downspouts cleaned on RAM Guard and Guard Plus visits.
- We check the attic from below: decking stains, ventilation, bath fans and wet insulation.
- Photographs of everything that matters, dated and kept on file for as long as you're a member.
- A plain-English summary: what's fine, what to watch, and what needs work.
- If something needs repair, you get a written quote at your member rate. Nothing is done without your OK.
A Dated Record of Your Roof
Every visit adds photographs and notes to your roof's history: the condition of the shingles, the flashings and the attic, year after year. It's useful to have when you sell the house, when you're deciding between repair and replacement, or when you need to show what the roof looked like before a storm.
We don't advise on insurance claims or coverage — that's between you and your insurance company. We keep the record; you decide how to use it.
